Circle of Friendship Numancia

The Circulo Amistad Numancia is a prestigious and historic cultural and social institution located on Plaza Major in Soria. It is the result of the merger of two old societies that were established in the 19th century: Casino de Numancia in 1848 and Círculo de la Amistad in 1865.




Both organizations had similar objectives: to provide a place for entertainment and education for people of good social class. In 1961, both organizations merged, creating the current name and headquarters. Currently, Circulo Amistad Numancia has about 1200 members, who pay a monthly fee and are subject to statutes, assembly, and management. It is an institution open to new members and various activities that take place in its facilities by private individuals and institutions.




The Circulo Amistad Numancia is housed in a beautiful mid-19th-century building located on the main street of Soria, El Collado. This building has three floors and is adorned with a classic facade with stone pilasters and balconies.




The facade bears the inscription “Circulo Amistad Numancia” and the city’s coat of arms. Inside the building, there are various rooms and halls that serve as a meeting place and events for members and guests. On the ground floor, there is a reception, bar, restaurant, and games room, where you can play billiards, chess, cards, or other board games. On the first floor, there is a library, which has over 20,000 books and magazines, as well as computers and the internet.




On the same floor, there is also a conference room, where lectures, seminars, courses, and workshops are held. On the second floor, there is a ballroom, where concerts, recitals, exhibitions, fashion shows, and other cultural and social events are held. On the same floor, there is also a cinema room, where you can watch films and documentaries. On the third floor, there is a sports room, where you can practice gymnastics, yoga, pilates, and other physical activities.
