Gurugú Beach

If you want to enjoy the sun and the sea, you cannot miss Gurugú Beach, which is located north of the city, along the road to Benicàssim. This is a beach that offers a rich and diverse range of tourist, sports, gastronomic, and cultural offerings.




Gurugú Beach is one of the longest and widest beaches in Castellón, with a length of over 3 kilometers and a width of over 50 meters. It is a beach with fine sand and a gentle descent into the water, ideal for families with children. It is also a beach with clean and clear water, which has the Blue Flag certificate, Q for Tourist Quality, and EMAS.




At Gurugú Beach, you can also admire many natural and landscape elements that give it charm and character. It is worth paying attention to the following objects:

  • El Parque Litoral: this is an environmental protection area, which is located behind the beach, between the road and the airport. It is an area with rich and diverse vegetation and fauna, where you can see species such as pines, eucalyptus, reeds, frogs, lizards, and water birds. It is also an area of great historical and cultural significance, where you can see remnants of ancient settlements and fortifications.
  • El Aeroclub: this is an aviation club, which is located at the airport, next to the beach. It is a club that offers various services and attractions related to aviation, such as training, tours, shows, and exhibitions. It is also a club that organizes various events and initiatives, such as festivals, competitions, and meetings, which aim to promote and disseminate aviation, cultural, and social values.
  • El Grao: this is a port district, which is located south of the beach, along the road to Castellon. It is a district with a rich and diverse tourist, sports, gastronomic, and cultural offer. In El Grao, you can see the fishing and yacht port, where you can admire boats and ships, as well as buy and taste fresh fish and seafood. In El Grao, you can also see the Planetarium, where you can admire the sky and stars, as well as participate in various activities and events related to astronomy and science.





On the beach and in its vicinity, you can find various attractions and entertainment, such as bars, restaurants, hotels, campsites, shops, clubs, schools, rentals, or zones, where you can practice various sports and activities, such as swimming, sailing, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, fishing, cycling, golf, tennis, volleyball, football, basketball, or skateboarding.

Pinar Beach

Pinar Beach is one of the most beautiful and tranquil beaches in Castellón, with a length of over 2 kilometers and a width of over 40 meters. It is a beach with fine sand and a gentle descent into the water, ideal for families with children.
